ILCA vang – Lower assembly cleat top fairlead (Harken)
The original purpose of the different colours was to differentiate between the cleats on the Harken vang lower assembly.
Red – Harken cam cleat with aluminium cams.
Blue – Harken cam cleat with composite cams.
Black – Came later because some people wanted to colour match the cleat top fairlead with the cleat cams & blocks. i.e. black composite cleat cams & black composite blocks.
Lightweight, fiber-reinforced fairleads feature stainless wear guards for long life and are available in various colors for color-coding – Black,red, blue, (green & yellow – available to order but not stocked).
